Obtain consistent, reliable results while automating the drying and curing process.

The CannaFREEZE Freeze Dryer Difference

Freeze Drying takes place when the Cannafreeze freeze dryer begins curing by removing all water as water vapor and collects the vapor as ice in its condenser. While the flower is frozen solid during the process and under a deep vacuum, this method of how to cure provides near perfect preservation.

Why should I freeze dry my flower?

  1. The product retains its size, color, and fragrance. this value added product is better looking, better tasting, and more potent. Freeze dried flower retains more potency than any other drying method.
  2. Eliminate the possibility of mold and pest contamination.
  3. The process is very sanitary. The chambers, shelving, and trays are food and pharmaceutical grade stainless steel.
  4. During the drying process the product is locked in a sealed container and under vacuum. This provides both odor control and security.
  5. The tray racking systems in Cannafreeze freeze dryers are very space efficient.
  6. You will obtain consistent, reliable results while automating and fast-tracking the process of curing.

Potency & Added Value

More potent than traditionally dried and cured products with critical quality distinction, allows for the higher retail price point and direct to market benefits vs. traditional practices. We are maintaining potency with no degradation of terpenes resulting in better fragrance and taste while seeing an average of 3-4% increase, allowing for a quality product markup and increased revenue.

Preservation

Preserve more potency and aroma than any other drying method. Stabilize and preserve live biomass for further refinement. Prevents oxidation in concentrates through controlled moisture removal while increasing trichome harvest efficiencies. Essential for stabilization and processing of "live" or "uncured" biomass.

Retention

The biomass retains its shape, size, color, and fragrance. When stored properly in airtight containers, shelf life can exceed 1 year. Gain larger yield retention through loss prevention, increasing your bottom line.

Savings

Alleviate the cost of large curing and drying rooms. Realize a considerable decrease in utility fees and facility maintenance. Save time & money through labor cost reduction.

Hang Dried vs Freeze Dried

When you hang dry a plant for 18-30 days to dry, the enzymes that cause plant senescence deteriorate as they act on the chlorophyll. This is why it takes so long to get rid of the "green" or grassy taste.

In freeze-drying, all the cell walls are cracked open making it is easy for the biomass to absorb moisture from the air. When freeze-dried flower comes out of a Cannafreeze dryer and is exposed to an oxygen-rich atmosphere - the oxygen, moisture, and enzymes (which are still 100% potent) will cause degradation of chlorophyll in 1-4 hours depending on humidity. This produces a cured product as if it were traditionally dried and cured for 30 days.
