Carbon dioxide, also known as CO2, aids plants in creating sugar and oxygen as a byproduct of photosynthesis. Plants use this sugar as food, and it allows them to grow.
Does CO2 increase yield?
Studies have shown that increasing CO2 in the grow room, provided you also have ample grow lighting, will lead to higher yields and less time to harvest.
The CO2 you introduce into the indoor garden will only be as effective as the grow lights you have allow. If you are using fluorescent grow lights, which are less powerful, you will not see huge increases in plant growth.
If you are using MH and HPS or LED grow lights, you will see the benefits. Introducing additional CO2 into the atmosphere will allow your plants to use more of this powerful light than before.
How much CO2 do plants need?
While the general level of CO2 in our atmosphere is around 400 ppm, plants can benefit greatly from CO2 levels of 1,200-2,000 ppm. Exceeding this level can have detrimental effects on your plants, so it is important to closely monitor your CO2 products, and utilize a CO2 Controller if you do not have a multi-function controller.
What is the best way of adding CO2 into grown room?
