PVent's active ingredient is a 93% Gliocladium catenulatum Strain J1446, originally isolated from natural Finnish soils. The J1446 Strain includes some unique adaptation traits, including its enhanced ability to thrive and reproduce across broad temperature and humidity ranges. PVent's G. catenulatum Strain J1446 was isolated and researched extensively due to its natural symbiotic relationship with the plant rhizosphere, the stem, and foliar surfaces, and most importantly its versatility in an IPM program - this is due to an enzyme secreted by G. catenulatum, specifically targeting pathogenic fungi.
