A ductless mini-split air conditioner is the most popular means of cooling grow rooms. This system features two components: the air handler and the condenser.

The air handler is mounted inside, generally on a wall to save floor space, and is responsible for actually cooling the room. The condenser is usually installed outside and expels hot air. The two components are connected by a line set.
